Our four year old little girl, Connie, was diagnosed with 'Ohdo Syndrome' in February of 2011.

Ohdo Syndrome is an incredibly rare congenital disorder which has many implications most notably including low muscle tone and global developmental delay. At two and a half Connie finally took her first long awaited steps, however her balance and co-ordination was extremely poor and progress was steady but slow.

In a bid to offer Connie every opportunity to maximise her potential, we took her to 'The Footsteps Centre' in Oxford in May of 2011. Here Connie participated in two hourly physiotherapy sessions daily for three weeks using very specific and unique equipment sadly not available on the NHS. Within the first week we could see an amazing positive effect not only with Connie's mobility but also her general confidence and social awareness.

We have visited Footsteps twice more since our original visit and her progress continues to be extremely encouraging. Connie can now walk short distances by herself although is still prone to falls, climb the stairs and onto the sofa independantly!

A three week session at Footsteps is approximately £1500 and we are fundraising to help meet these costs to enable Connie to attend at least twice yearly to give her every opportunity to further her development.
