Smile Train is the world’s largest cleft charity, sponsoring 2M+ cleft surgeries since 1999. Our success owes to our sustainable model of training, funding, and equipping local medical teams to provide comprehensive cleft care that’s always there for their neighbours in need.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page!!

I’ve decided to dust of my running shoes and do the London Marathon for Smile Train with Storks, and any support is sooooo very very appreciated! :-)

I chose Smile Train because I was born with a cleft palate, so I know first-hand that it’s an amazing cause!!! It means so much to me that I'm able to run it for them.

Children with clefts have difficulty eating, breathing, hearing, and speaking. Being born with a cleft is one of the leading birth defects, yet awareness around clefts is incredibly low.

The surgery to repair a cleft is so simple, but sooo vital – struggling to breathe and eat with an untreated cleft can be life threatening.

Despite being so easy to fix, many children don’t have access to the care they need, so the easily solvable problem becomes fatal.

Smile Train is an international children’s charity with a sustainable approach to solving clefts.

Their work has facilitated over 1 million cleft surgeries since 1999 in over 85 countries - bringing more and more smiles to the world :-)

Your support for this amazing charity is very much appreciated!!
