Thanks for taking a look at my fundraising page, at the start of 2015 I made the decision to set myself a goal that I never thought I would put myself through, to run the new Bristol to Bath marathon on Sunday 25th October. After 14 years of running shorter distances (half marathon at most), I felt the time had come (turning 30 featured here!) to set myself the ultimate challenge of running 26.2 miles!

I have chosen to run for the charity Mind. Every year 1 in 4 of us will suffer from a mental health problem. Hundreds of thousands of people are left struggling - mental health is not like healing a broken leg, it is far more complex than a physical injury and can take a lot of time and expertise help to heal. With the help of charities such as Mind, people don't have to suffer with their problem alone. 

Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem, either themselves or to those who are supporting someone close to them with a mental health problem. Mind campaigns to improve mental health services, raise awareness and promotes understanding.
