I am running the Edinburgh half-marathon in aid of Theirworld, a fantastic charity which supports the right of every child globally to education. Theirworld have a demonstrable track record of supporting the most vulnerable children in accessing education, and also in influencing change at a global scale to mobilise funding for education.

Theirworld is a global children's charity committed to ending the global education crisis and unleashing the potential of the next generation. Even before the pandemic there were 260 million children out of school across the world. If we take no action, by 2030, 825 million children - half of all young people globally - will not have the most basic skills necessary to be part of the workforce.  Every penny raised will help us achieve our mission to give every child the best start in life, a safe place to learn and skills for the future.
