Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am doing the Great East swim for the second time on June 16th with the support of my husband Richard, friends and neighbours in St. Albans and friends and colleagues in London. I have swum the Great East swim once - in 2009. Just a few days before, my dear friend and neighbour and fellow Quaker Amber Carroll died of cancer, and I raised over £500 for a cancer charity in her honour. I am doing the swim again this year in her memory and hope to raise even more funds this time with the help of Just Giving. I also hope to improve my time - in 2009 I was 989th of over 1000 swimmers so there is plenty of room for improvement!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many thanks for any help you can give!
