About why I'm running the 10k:

We're running the Manchester 10k in memory of our 8 year old niece Aimee Valentine who very sadly lost her life to cancer last July.  We miss her dearly and think about her everyday.

When we think of Aimee we also remember that the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital took such great care of her.   Aimee was a patient there for 4 months and we wanted to do something to show support for the great work they did for her and continue to do for others.
