I am walking 100 miles around the coast of east anglia, to raise money for a piece of equipment in the Respiratory Medicine department, at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. I hope to do this over 5 consecutive days.

I am raising money to fund a piece of equipment called an endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) scope. The EBUS scope is a camera for lung cancer staging which is crucial for making treatment decisions. Currently patients undergo a surgical procedure for staging and have to undergo a general anaesthetic with overnight stay in hospital. EBUS can be done as a day case procedure with sedation and local anaesthetic with excellent results and good pateint experience. The EBUS scope costs £65,000 and we hope to raise a good chunk of this.
