Story

Myself and my colleagues are hoping to raise some money and awareness of the various forms of throat cancers. Working within the NHS, we see patients daily who have one of these cancers, or are in the process of receiving their diagnosis and are heading towards the start of a long journey to a cancer free life. We are raising money for the Throat Cancer Foundation, which specialize in researching the various forms in head, neck and throat cancers, provide support and care to patients and their families who are currently fighting these cancers; while striving to raise awareness of throat cancers including those caused by the human papillomavirus. A colleague of ours was diagnosed with one of these cancers earlier this year, and currently fighting like the strong person that we know she is. Now it is our turn to be strong by putting ourselves through our paces, we are going to complete a 4-5 mile assault course known as Kernow Destroyer which includes 25+ obstacles for us to overcome. From what I hear.....Its not for the faint hearted! So please donate to this well deserving cause and help us raise awareness for throat cancers.

About the charity

We are the only UK foundation who are dedicated and aim to improve throat cancer treatment processes, help to develop better cures, support both patients and medical professionals and educate more people on how to look after their throats to lessen their risk of developing this horrible cancer.
