Hey, my name Becks!

I will be getting into water everyday no matter where I am. The sea, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, ponds 💙

I love water, waves and wildlife and I'm lucky to live near the coast so I started getting into the sea everyday last year in 2019.

Getting in the sea, left me feeling magical and full of energy. It was like the magic of salt water gave me a new lease of life and freedom every time I got in. Leaving me feeling more connected to myself and nature. As the seasons changes throughout the year entering the water presents it's own challenges and with Wirral having such a big tidal range proves different challenges everyday. But I'm looking forward to new challenges this year and people from the community joining me along the way.

I volunteer for British Divers Marine Life Rescue as a marine mammal medic, and we get call outs to stranded marine mammals all year round. These call outs come from HQ at BDMLR and these call outs are for medics to attend and help ill or injured marine mammals. This service would not happen if it wasn't for charities like BDMLR.

This year doing it for BDMLR will add even more sparkle to my daily dips 🤙🧜‍♀️

Because of my connection to the sea, this has allowed me to feel that the sea gives us so much, it's only fair to give back. Marine mammals are largely in decline in our seas and supporting BDMLR will help us properly look at the issues marine mammals are facing and try and protect these beautiful creatures.

I am doing this so BDMLR can help rescue and rehabilitate more marine mammals in the future. Also to raise awareness about the importance of our oceans and marine wildlife.

So 2020, a daily dip E.V.E.R.Y.D.A.Y. LETS DO THIS.
