The Free Representation Unit (FRU) is a charity dedicated to providing free legal representation to those who cannot afford to pay, before Tribunals in the Greater London area where legal-aid is unavailable. Founded in 1972, FRU is one of the country's foremost providers of free legal service.

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

It is that time of year again, and I am running my 5th London Marathon in support of the Free Representation Unit.

FRU is a legal charity that represents people in Social Security and Employment Tribunals. We help about 1,200 people a year, who can't afford other legal representation. The vast majority of the work is done by volunteers, mostly law students. I work there as the Legal Officer, Employment. For more information see our website.

Like most charities FRU relies on donations to keep the lights on and the photocopier running. Any support you can give will be gratefully received and put to good use.

Many thanks.

Michael
