Refugee Action provides direct support to people seeking safety in the UK, as well as campaigning for their rights. Our vision is that refugees and people seeking asylum will be welcome in the UK. They will get justice, live free of poverty and be able to successfully rebuild their lives.

Story

We are working for Refugee Action's Gateway Resettlement Programme in Manchester. We help a relatively small quota of refugees, who were selected for that programme by the UNHCR and the Home Office, with their integration in the UK.

We are running the 10k together to raise awareness and money for the much bigger group of refugees and asylum seekers in Manchester, who are not part of our Gateway Programme. Support services for this group don't receive enough funding and largely depend on donations from the public. We are giving your donations to Refugee Action's destitiution fund.

Please donate some money to us to ensure Refugee Action can continue supporting all groups of refugees and asylum seekers in Manchester and specifically those most in need, those who are destitute.

Most members of our team have not done a 10k before. Your donation will further motivate us to cross the finish line with a proud smile and an even bigger sense of achievement.
