Exodus 100 mile Ultra Marathon · 6 December 2019
'To make a difference in someone's life, you don't need to be brilliant, rich, beautiful or perfect. You just have to care.' ~ Mandy Hale
I have been touched by the amazing work the Joint Aid Management (JAM) organisation does on a daily basis to make a tangible difference in thousands of people's lives through their caring and practical approach to help those less fortunate in Africa.
Their slogan is so power "HELPING AFRICA HELP ITSELF"...and they live up to that standard by various means. They do this by:
- Providing daily meals at schools for children,
- Providing clean running water for communities, and
- Facilitating key learning and knowledge transfer to farmers.
All in an effort to assist them in being self sufficient.
This is the 3rd time that I am raising funds for JAM, and I cannot wait to see the impact it will have.
I will be attempting to run the Exodus 100 mile ultra marathon in Wales. The race starts in Llangadog and then travels east through the mountainous Brecon Beacons towards the endpoint, Abergavenny. I will have 48 hours to cover the distance (and 7,100m of elevation), starting from 19:00 on 6 December 2019.
Please know that your generous contribution will be used wisely and effectively applied by the experienced team at JAM. For more information on the great work they do, please visit their website at
