Well - the deed is done.  Having set of at 9.30am on Friday we finally reached the finish point at Tynemouth at 5pm Sunday.

In summary:

   Everyone made it

   1 blow out on the descent from Akenshawburn

   2 slow punctures

   Numerous midge bites

   and even more full english breakfasts.

   Robin also left a gift of laughter for the hotel staff in Carlisle of some very interesting footage of his damage self-assessment whilst sitting in the jacuzzi.

Total mileage was about 175, which included what will forever be known as the Budgie detour, where our leading pack of riders had to be rescued from an even longer detour by Russell flagging down a passing car and asking the driver to catch up with them and send them back.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us with encouragement and donations, which are going to the Motor Neurone Disease Association, in memory of Alex Deytrikh who passed away last year after a courageous battle with this horrible illness.
