Macmillan Caring Locally works in partnership with the NHS to fund the Macmillan Unit, a Hospice and specialist palliative care unit at Christchurch Hospital in Dorset. Please note that we are not connected in any way to the national charity Macmillan Cancer Support.

Story

A fond colleague of ours, Diana Halford, passed away in September last year. During her battle with Cancer The Macmillan Cancer Trust in provided support to her and her family and we are raising cash by way of a sponsored walk in her memory.

Our walk on Friday 17th July takes us from our current place of work in Hurn to our soon to be new place of work in Whiteley, around 35 miles. Neither of us have done any distance walking in the past (out with training for this event!) so we’re expecting it to be tough going.

If you have already made a pledge, expect an e-mail soon from us reminding you how much of your hard earned cash you agreed to part with then make your donation via this site! If you haven’t pledged any cash please dig deep, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

James and Ariana.
