Blenheim Palace Triathlon · 3 June 2017 to 4 June 2017 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are raising money to support research into the causes and cures of Blood cancer in memory of Adam Clift, you can read more about him here www.rememberingadamclift.org. Adam died in march 2016 from Burkitt's Lymphoma aged 17.  Two teams will be taking part in the event

Team 1:Richard Clift, Julian and Charlotte Hetherington, Adam's Dad and two close friends

Team 2: Pete Clift, Caroline Creaby and Rob Postlethwaite, Adam's uncles and aunt. Bloodwise funds scientists in their research and this research is paying huge dividends, now if a young person gets a cancer they are much more likley to survive than not. This is very different to the case when the charity was founded 50 years ago. However this progress does not come cheaply and the vast majority of research into cancer comes from charitable donations not central Government. It was Adams wish that we should support research so that other young people would not have to have the same experiences he had. Please support and encourage your friends and family to spread the word and support us too, every pound can make a difference
