Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page for Retracing Routledge - a fundraising endurance challenge, with a historical element!
I'm fundraising to buy a 'BioMax' sewage digesting unit for the island of Rapa Nui. The challenge is to retrace the route of an expedition that sailed to the island 100 years ago - but travel on foot and by bike! Please sponsor me as I undertake this mammoth journey from England to Rapa Nui!
I've completed a multi-day run through England, from Darlington to Southampton to start the endurance challenge. Next up is a 1000mile bike ride across South America, from Buenos Aires to Santiago 0 over the Andes. The final stage of the challenge involves completing the Rapa Nui marathon on June 1st. All in all I will have covered roughly 1,350miles in order to raise funds for the BioMax unit that the NGO Pacific Aid Australia hope to deliver to Rapa Nui - with your help!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving and once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The bike leg is now complete! I cycled into Santiago on Thursday night with two fellow bicycle tourers, after about 24 days on the move covering the 1000miles/ 1500kms from Buenos Aires. My legs are recovering well - 3 weeks til the marathon on Rapa Nui!
Hola from Buenos Aires! Stage two is about to begin. We arrived in the city last night and are now building the bikes up and preparing for our first day of cycling. Thanks for the BioMax fund donations everyone! Great to see the total going up!!
Fundraising for the BioMax is going great! Thanks everyone for your donations! Just one week to go now until the bike leg begins in Buenos Aires! Follow on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
