As someone who has family members with ASD (autistic spectrum disorder) and also has a diagnosis of it myself, I am very aware of the difficulties that ASD causes both for high-functioning and low-functioning autistic people. There is so much that could be done to raise awareness of autism and help people with autism achieve their full potentials!

Autism NI exists to support individuals with autism and their families, and campaigns to raise awareness of autism within the wider society. I am going to be completing a sponsored video game marathon on Friday 31st January to raise money for this great charity, with a couple of other fundraising events leading up to it.
