Story
Running the London Marathon has been a life goal for a few years now. I consider myself extremely lucky to be able to run and to have a charity place this October.
I am running for Brace for a number of reasons. Firstly in memory of our wonderful Grandad, Norman. He suffered with Vascular Dementia in the final years of his life, and it was an extremely challenging time for him and the entire family. Dementia comes in many forms and has worrying statistics attached, like the fact that 1 in 3 of us in the UK will develop dementia in our lifetime.
Running the marathon will be a personal challenge, but I want the event to have more meaning than simply the 26.2 miles. Fundraising for such important research, based in the South West in Bristol, will make this experience have impact beyond me as an individual.
