My father was a very active man throughout his life . He represented his country in a number of sports. At the time of his death he was still set to represent wales over 40s cricket team . At our local cricket club ( Blackwood town cricket club ) my father was a very influential man as ; a mentor, coach to the juniors and was still 2nd team captain . Sadly he suffered a heart attack and died on the pitch whilst we were playing against Rogerstone cricket club. This left a massive hole in our family's lives and that of many of the cricketers. We are running a charity night and a six a side tournament at Blackwood town cricket club in honour of my father. We need to raise a minimum of £1000 pounds to get a de-fibrillator at the cricket club with the professional training to use one.  We want to raise as much money as possible for the chairty as we feel they are doing great things.
