Story
There are over 40million people in slavery globally today. This ranges from forced labour to people trafficking, cybersex trafficking and other horrific situations where men, women and children are held and used against their will.
International Justice Mission have a vision to see an end to this kind of abuse IN OUR LIFETIME!
They work with local police and investigators to identify and rescue vulnerable people. They work with local services and volunteers to provide for and support those rescued for as long as they need and they work with lawyers and justice systems to bring the perpetrators to justice and break their lines of control.
To raise support to help IJM UK Rhona and Tracey are aiming to cycle 300km during the month of May. To keep within lockdown guidelines they plan to cycle 2 laps of Arthurs Seat every 2 days. This will keep them within 4 miles of home and close to 1 hour per cycle (dependent on wind and leg power). By the end they will have cycled 300km each and climbed 2.5 times Ben Nevis. Not one to miss a challenge Doug is aiming to run 300km in the same time frame, though maybe not all on Arthur's Seat 🤪. Fraser's probably got the biggest challenge of keeping us entertained and in good humour.
