Anyone that knew Mam/Rhona, will know she had an affinity with "bairns".  She loved spending time with kids, her six grandchildren were her pride and joy.  She could connect with all kids and took great enjoyment from spending time in the company of wee ones. She devoted her life to caring for others, including working as a nursery nurse and then running the local playgroup for 15 years.

When Mam/Rhona had kids herself, it wasn't so smooth and on two out of the three occasions the expertise and care of Aberdeen Neonatal Ward was literally a lifesaver.  

This is a cause she and the rest of the family hold close to their hearts and one which Mam/Rhona fundraised for throughout her life.
