In February this year, we received the news that no-one ever wants to hear - that my mum had lung cancer. The entire family has been devastated by the diagnosis. Although my mum's cancer is incurable, and we've already had our fair share of ups and downs, mum has been helped more than words can say by the wonderful people at Great Oaks, and is currently feeling well enough to get out and about and enjoy herself! 

Great Oaks is an amazing organisation, filled with phenomenal people who are kind, caring and helpful. They make everything seem a little less scary, which is a major positive in a world turned upside down by cancer. For my mum, and the countless others who have been helped by these wonderful people, I have decided to shave my head!!

I'm going to look a little ridiculous for a few weeks after this, so please, please give towards such a great cause and make the embarrassment worthwhile....!! Ria xx
