Ahoy All

I did the ride yesterday with distant relative Tim Walmsley and 14000 other riders. We had a happy day. The weather was kind, the wind favourable and the organisation was excellent. 
The route was 54 miles with regular “service stations” . We ate our way to Brighton. I consumed 3 bacon rolls, 3 bananas, 7 M&S flapjacks and half a bag of M&S jelly babies. 

The dreaded Ditchling Beacon was overcome (no walking) and then a final glorious 8 mile descent to Brighton Seafront and a rather over the top hero’s welcome.
Arrived 1540hrs having left Clapham at 0900hrs. 

A couple of beers sitting on the beach then off to our Premier Inn.
Fell asleep in the bath then out for a pizza.
Bed by 10.
