Richard Chamberlain and Richard Bravery will be doing 3 hike challenges this year.
Back in 2019, I trekked up Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for the Magical Taxi Tour. This is a charity that I have been involved in for many years. This year I have decided that I would love to raise enough money to pay for another taxi to take a child and their family to go to Disneyland Paris in the back of a London Taxi, which I will be driving again.
Every year, we take 100 London taxis in the convoy escorted by the City of London police and the National Gendarmerie. Also in attendance will be the London Ambulance service and the 4th emergency service, the AA.
Our challenge this year is to complete 3 hikes. The first hike is the Winter Walk in London 26 miles long. The second hike is up to Everest Base Camp in Nepal, then followed by a third hike of 31 miles along the Cotswold Way.
All children who are invited to go on this trip of a lifetime to Disneyland have spent a long period of time in the hospital receiving treatment for life-threatening illnesses. All are deserving of a break away from hospital and treatment with a 3 day trip to remember for the rest of their lives.
