A group of university friends and I are cycling from John O Groats to Lands End in July. We are cycling in relay teams of three so although I will only be completing a third of the journey we are cycling 24/7 so it is very much an endurance challenge and we are aiming at approximately 3 and a half days to complete the whole 1200 miles. The journey is inspired by a friend of ours, Lucy, who lost her battle with cancer last year and several of the team are raising money for the organisation that supported Lucy with her illness. I myself will be raising money for cancer research here in Cornwall where i'm trying to raise £500 for the Sunshine Appeal which carries out cancer research at the Royal Cornwall Hospital.
