Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

According to the stats 1 in 4 of us in Scotland experience a mental health problem. So if it isn't you it's likely to be one of your mates or a family member.

I had a relatively rough year last year for various reason I won't bore you with; but it was nothing compared to what some people are going through. It did give me a greater appreciation of that struggle. This is my way of helping a little.

Any money raised is going to SAMH, a mental health charity who work exclusively in Scotland to support people having a tough time. Their page is https://www.samh.org.uk/

I've pledged to do the Edinburgh Half Marathon in May. I'll be supported by some of my best mates in Blair, Daniel and David who are running with me.

Those of you who have crossed paths with me in the last 20 years knows I haven't met a pint, a party or a pizza I didn't like the look of. It means that this half marathon will be a fairly big accomplishment, especially considering where I was physically when I started in December.

The training and exercise has gone a long way to helping clear my head. I'd recommend it to everyone. If you are really unlucky I might share some before and after pics of my fitness journey closer to the time.

So if you can all dig deep for a worthy cause it would be much appreciated and I am sorry for boring you all with the running posts on Facebook. 😁
