Over the next 12 months, I will be completing 12 half ironman distance triathlons, one a month, for a year. My goal is to raise as much money and awareness as possible for the CCPA, a charity that were instrumental in supporting my Nephew, Max, through his battle with cancer.

The day before his 12th birthday, Max, was diagnosed with a rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a soft tissue tumour behind his nose. He deteriorated rapidly and the cancer spread to Max's lungs, bones and bone marrow.

My sister and her families lives were turned upside down, as Max began his journey through extensive treatment including surgery, chemotherapy that lasted over a year and a program of radiotherapy that he had daily over a 5-week period.

Words can't begin to describe how amazing Max (and the rest of the family) have been from that point on. Courage, determination and bravery. Never once complaining about anything, just getting on and tackling the next hurdle that was put in front of him.

I'm pleased to say Max is doing brilliantly and now is in remission. The CCPA are the charity that the family have asked me to raise money for as they have been such a massive help to them over the last two years.

I hope that over the next year I can raise some money, so the CCPA can help other families that also need that support at such devastating times in their lives.

The dates of the triathlons are below; there will be my own personally organised races, as well as some official races but all will be documented on Strava and my social media. (Instagram - Logie693 and #teamfarish). Volunteers willing to join me on any leg of the triathlons are very welcome, as is spectator support!

March 18th, April 22nd, May 20th, June 11th, July 15th, August 26th, September 17th, October 21st, November 25th, December 21st, January 27th and finally February 24th.
