Story
I was attracted to this event because it combines the critical needs of the RAF Benevolent Fund with the genius of British Design in the form of the Brompton Bike. In WWII - aircraft such as the Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane epitomised the brilliance of British ingenuity and that continues today in the less frightening form of the Brompton Bike.
Some said, 15 miles then Coffee - 15 miles then Lunch, 15 miles then Tea, 15 miles then Dinner - How difficult can it be? Or, how naive am I? Only time will tell but, through your support and donations, the training will be less painful and hopefully lead to something far more rewarding. I hope to be riding with the 56(F) Squadron colours - my first F4 fighter Squadron with which I gained many fond and fun-filled memories.
Our trip ends at 4pm on Saturday 12th September as we ride up The Mall in London - it would be great to see you there.
