So this year I'm going bigger, better & faster.

To start with I'm cycling from London to Edinburgh in just 4 days - that's over 100 miles a day. I have never yet ridden 100 in one day (my butt is never going to forgive me). The route is London - Stamford - York - Morpeth - Edinburgh. As luck would have it, the last 50 miles of the last day has by far the biggest hill - 1200ft (my legs are going to join my butt in hating me).

Not content with that, just 4 days later I'm going to ride the 60 miles from London to Cambridge. Just 60 miles - where's the challenge in that? Well, the challenge is that the ride starts at midnight - I hope to arrive at about 3:30am! My whole body is going to hate me...

Why would I do this? I'm nearly 50 for goodness sakes. To raise money for the wonderful work that Teenage Cancer Trust do.

Getting cancer at any age is truly crap. Getting it as a teenager when you're just trying to get to grips with who you are and what this world is about is terrible. Being a parent or a sibling of a teenage cancer sufferer is a rough ride too. Everyone is changed forever.

Teenage Cancer Trust help everyone through this through providing facilities and support. They also educate teenagers in schools about cancer - awareness that unfortunately many of us are going to need at some stage.
