Story
7 months ago in July I started running, and I couldn't do 2k without walking a couple of times (http://www.strava.com/activities/68299606), but I've kept at it and tried to go further and faster each month.
Then in December my Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer, a shock to the whole family, especially since it followed my Uncle having the same condition.
My Dad has now had his tumor removed and is improving, but I decided that I would accept a challenge to fight this horrible disease and run a marathon.
Unable to get into London I chose Copenhagen on May 18th and hope to run the 26.2 miles in under 3 hours 40 minutes.
Researchers are near a gene test for prostate cancer and with your help myself, my brother and millions of others like us can monitor and hopefully avoid this terrible killer. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-26274475
Please give generously, thankyou!
