PRIZE RAFFLE info at the bottom...

I am Raising Money for  http://www.wearemakingadifference.com

Despite the injuries sustained in training for this marathon... a friend (also injured and pictured) and I decided we would still do it although it would unfortunately mean walking it instead!  To make it fun we did it in fancy dress and had a historical 'never ever been done before' lunch on the bridge...  the BBC filmed it and interviewed us which was great and seriously lifted our spirits...  My good friend and co-runner (walker) Andy Foote continues to raise incredible amounts of money for the Joseph Foote foundation... click the link here to view the BBC footage on his website... www.josephfoote.co.uk/fundraising/

pre marathon chat...

‘The GNO’ (Gents Night Out)  is without a doubt, one of the best nights of the year with their inimitable style of great fun for a fantastic cause...  Predominantly raising money for sickly children (although many others), they make sure that every last penny gets to the end of  the line with absolutely  NOTHING  being taken out for administration costs!   I've seen some of the children that it helps, both in person and on films, and it makes you want to donate the shirt off your back...

A few years ago I decided I wanted to run for the GNO, however, a bitter feud with my old enemy, 'Naba Umsomuto', (the Ethiopian runner), stopped me from competing... but fortuantely, through the hard work of Max Clifford, we've managed to put it behind us.  So after years of intense training, learning the ‘tube stations’ and eating pasta... it's on!

...despite my ties with a certain ice cream company, and contrary to rumours in last months edition of 'Runners World'... I will not be running dressed as a cow.

I sponsored  a friend years ago on a similar event and they said... “sponsor me or run it yourself!”  ...but you don't have to worry about that  ...just sponsor me and I'll run it for you   ...giving to charity improves your looks and helps you lose weight*

(*this is not true)

If you've made it this far I’m assuming you’ve donated or are about to, so 'Thank You Very Much' your support is much appreciated... click on the GNO link if you get 5, and just see for yourself who you’re helping...  Tricky x
