London to Paris Bike Ride - 20-23 May 2011 · 20 May 2011

The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In May I am going to attempt to cycle from London to Paris to raise funds for the National Autistic Society.

As a Dad of two children with Aspergers Syndrome (Autistic Spectrum Disorder), I know how difficult and isolating having children with autism can be.  Often our children are perceived as being naughty while adults find they are misunderstood, as autism is very much an invisible disability.

The National Autistic Society are a lifeline to people like us.  They provide families and their children with much needed support, advice and training and also keep parents up to date with legislative changes.

Some of the money I raise will go towards the organisation of the ride but the majority will go towards supporting this exceptional charity.
