Story
As many of you know, Anne and I are volunteers at East Surrey Hospital - part of the Surrey and Sussex Healthcare Trust. In the process we have come to appreciate just how hard working and dedicated the staff are and we think of it as our hospital.
While the hospital works hard to provide the best possible care in challenging circumstances, there is little money to spare for things patients really appreciate such as specialised training, twin cots for neo- natal wards and special computer screens for patients suffering from dementia. SASH Charity works to try and fill this gap
A particular current project SASH Charity project is the Camomile Courtyard - a sheltered, dementia friendly garden, to improve the experience of hospital stays for patients and their visitors.
As our contribution, we will be leading a group walking just over 13 miles, climbing the three major Surrey hills: Holmbury Hill, Leith Hill and Box Hill in aid of SASH Charity. We would be very grateful if you could help us by making a donation.
Anything - however small - would be very gratefully received!
