Over the next year I am planning on entering and completing over 150km of fun runs, obstacle courses, mud runs and the odd half marathon on behalf of Cancer Research UK who strive to discover new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.

This is a cause particularly close to my heart after a family member was diagnosed with skin cancer and several close friends have been diagnosed and treated for breast cancer and skin cancer. I am looking to raise as much money as possible over the next year to support the work of Cancer Research UK. Below are the events I’ll be competing in:

14th June - Pieces of 8 Trail Race @ Penshaw 10k

12th July - Blackpool Summer 10k

2nd August - York 10k

15th August - Gateshead Trail 10k

29th August - Stockton River Rat Race 10k

13th Sept - Great North Run 21k

10th October - Newcastle Stampede 10k

18th October - The Major Series 12k

8th November - MoRunning 10k

2016

16th April - Warrior Beach Assault 10k

TBC May - Sunderland City 10k

TBC - Tough Mudder 19k

TBC - Total Warrior 10k
