British Gas Great North Swim 2011 · 18 June 2011 ·
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you may already know, Bethany Dawson was my niece and was born in June 2007 with a condition called gastroschesis. Over her short life, she spent most of her days in Birmingham Children's Hospital, undergoing over 25 operations. Beth eventually lost her fight in September 2009 at just over 2 years old. For more information about Beth and the charity we set up in her memory, visit the page of Bethany's Sunshine Fund on Facebook.
One of the primary aims of Bethany's Sunshine Fund is to support Birmingham Children's Hospital, where so many seriously ill children are treated from broken bones and burns to organ transplant.
As part of this support, I will be taking part in the Great North Swim 2011, swimming the 1 mile course across Windermere at 12:30 on Sunday 19th June (in the sub-40 minute wave).
I have vowed that, if I meet my target of £1,000, I will take part in the 2 mile swim in 2012, so if you would like to see me endure even more in 2012, please sponsor me and help me support the children that are enduring every day in the wards of Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Birmingham Children's Hospital and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Many many thanks in advance,
Rich
