Hospice care eases the physical and emotional pain of death and dying. Letting people focus on living, right until the end. But too many people miss out on this essential care. Hospice UK fights for hospice care for all who need it, for now and forever.

Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page.

Thanks to my running club Kilbarchan AAC, I have a 2011 London Marathon place. This means that the charities have not had to fund any provision of this place and so everything raised goes directly to them. I am running the Marathon on April 17th to raise funds for St Vincent's Hospice, Howwood and Help the Hospices

Remember that  through Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Through Clydesdale Bank's charity partnership with Help the Hospices, 50% of the money I raise will be donated to St Vincent’s Hospice and 50% to Help the Hospices. Through the bank's matched funding scheme, Clydesdale Bank will match fund pound for pound all funds that are raised, with 50% of the matching donated to Help the Hospices and 50% to St Vincent's Hospice.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
