Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
David and I have decided to enter the Race Across Britain and cycle 969 miles in 9 days from Land's End to John O'Groats. In total we will be climbing more than 41,000ft, which is 1.5 times the height of Mount Everest!

I am raising money for two hospices that mean a great deal to me personally as they have cared incredibly well for two people very close to my heart.

The first is the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Chester who looked after my Mum and the second is the Pembridge Palliative Care Centre in Notting Hill that cared so wonderfully for Clare.

Unfortunately the Pembridge Palliative Care Centre, as part of the NHS, is not registered with JustGiving so I have decided to match any amount I raise for the Good Shepherd and make a personal donation to the Pembridge Care Centre.

This also gives those friends of mine with an evil streak the added incentive to make a large donation so that in turn my personal donation will increase!

We will be extremely grateful for all the support we can get, so please give generously.

Many Thanks, Richard

David Russell and I have both fully funded the costs of our trip and all money raised will be going to the individual charities we have chosen to support.
