For almost 30 years, the South Cleveland Heart Fund has 100% voluntarily raised funds to purchase equipment and specialist staff training for the cardio unit at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, keeping it at the leading edge of care. Your support does make a difference.

Story

Sadly on the 20th July 2011 our dad passed away suddenly
after 9 years of suffering from Heart failure.

We have organised the 7th annual Rick Taylor memorial rugby
game on Saturday 21st July 2018 and in line with recent years it is Acklam’s
turn to host the game following it been at Stockton last year.

The game is to firstly remember him but at the same time to
raise as much money as we can for Heart related charities. Over the past 6
years we have raised over £18,000 in his memory for charity.

This year a Stockton select squad will once again play a
Acklam select squad. Stockton won the trophy last year so the Acklam squad
fresh from winning the D&N 2 league will looking to win it back in what
will no doubt be a hard fought encounter.

We will again be raising money for the South Cleveland Heart
Fund. It is a fantastic regional charity and they continue to require funding
to keep James Cook University Hospital, the Regional Cardiothoracic Centre at
the leading edge of advances of care for heart patients.

As always there is no minimum donation as any contribution
is kindly received.

The game will be held at Acklam or the 1st time
since the clubhouse was refurbished, address as follows:

Talbot Park, Saltersgill Ave, Middlesbrough TS4 3PR and will
kick off at 2.00pm.

Everyone is welcome so please come along to support the
event if you can.

Thanks

Dan, Steve & Sylvia
