North London Hospice supports more than 3,500 people with a life-limiting illness each year in the communities of Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey. Established in 1984, we are committed to empowering our patients through our vision which is to provide the best of life, at the end of life, for everyone.

Story

As you all know, I have run several marathons for various charities over the years and hadn't originally planned to call upon your generosity again this year for the London Half I am running in October.
However, the recent passing of my friend's son Jack from cancer aged only 22 years old has compelled me to take this opportunity to raise money for an important charity, North London Hospice, that helped Jack in his final days.
As parents we all share similar dreams and aspirations for our children - nothing in life can prepare any parent or sibling for such a terrible loss.
My heart goes out to Jack's family and I hope that, with your support, we can make a difference to others affected by terminal illness.
