Why Sleep Out? The number of people who are homeless is on the rise, not just in terms of people sleeping on the streets, but the ‘hidden homeless’, staying in hostels, sofa surfing or in unsuitable, temporary accommodation. The current estimate of homeless people in England is over 300,000, according to charity Shelter.
