It has happened again... I've strapped myself in for another Marathon!
This addiction started with a rare chance to run the New York Marathon alongside my wife in 2016, and now takes me onto the next step of the journey; Barcelona!
It started when I returned from New York itching to run more, to do more marathons.. I began applying for every "World Major" marathon that I could get my hands on.. My colleagues at work mentioned that they were applying for London or commented that they would love to do NYC in the future or other marathons.. so it struck me... Why not put a team together and run one?
Luck has it that I work for a fantastic company in Zurich Insurance who are the major sponsors for the Barcelona Marathon, and the lightbulb moment came to me!
I sit on the Zurich Community Trust committee in our office and represent the Croydon employees of Zurich. With that experience, I have been exposed to the Zurich Community Trust and seen first hand the great things that the ZCT has done for our local community.
I thought.. Why not raise some money for a good cause, as a team, where I have seen the funds go straight to the local charities and make a huge impact to those charities? ... So if you have managed to read this far, you've got to where we are up to!
9 of us are setting out for Barcelona (Fellowship of the Ring?) on the 12th of March, and I am calling any support that you can muster!
