Wolf Run 2014 · 1 November 2014 ·

It is our vision to have nations without drowning where everyone can safely enjoy being in, on or near water. Since 1891 we’ve been sharing our expertise in water safety, lifesaving, and lifeguarding to educate everyone to enjoy water safely.

Story

On Sunday 2 November 2014 staff members for the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) will be taking part in the Wolf Run, Leicestershire to raise money to prevent drowning.

RLSS UK is the drowning prevention charity and the UK’s leading provider of water safety education. Around 400 people needlessly die from drowning in the UK every year and thousands more suffer injury, some life-changing, through near-drowning experiences. Putting these figures into context, one person dies every 20 hours in the UK. Drowning is the third highest cause of accidental death of children in the UK. Add to this the fact that around 75 UK citizens drown in foreign waters every year.

We welcome your donation in supporting us through this gruelling trek and run, so dig deep and please sponsor us.

By donating you are helping us save lives by reducing drowning.
