Story

On the 4th of July 2020, I was set to participate in the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle to support Breakthrough Cancer Research. Unfortunately, the event has been cancelled this year and as a result, the charity lost a valuable source of funding. Breakthrough Cancer Research focus on funding world-class cancer research into poor prognosis cancers, which are poorly served by current treatment options; facilitating collaboration between scientists and clinicians across Ireland and Internationally and accelerating the translation of lab discoveries into new effective treatments for cancer patients.

I took my bike out of the shed for the first time in 4 years recently... I haven’t cycled in years but on the 4th of July I will be undertaking the “Ring of Kerry 2020”. Due to movement restrictions, the 175km distance and 1600m elevation gain will be done within my home county of Wicklow.

I know lots of people and charities are suffering at the moment, but if you have a spare few euro that you can afford to pass in the direction of this very deserving cause, it would be very much appreciated.
