‘Better Care, Healthier Lives’. We are the charity that exists to support St George’s hospitals and the communities they serve. Every day, our work makes a real difference to patients, their families and friends and the staff who care for them.

Story

On 1st July 2015, my best mate Charlie lost his beloved daughter, Molly, after a short and devastating illness. Molly was my God daughter and was just 19 years of age. Molly was such a beautiful young girl with an enormous heart, and a presence that touched a lot of people, both young and old.

Molly’s Smile Fund was set up by her family and friends as a memorial and tribute to Molly.

This year Charlie and I are taking part in July’s Prudential RideLondon 100 to raise funds for St Georges Hospital Charity on behalf of Molly’s Smile Fund.

RideLondon is a 100 mile cycle sportive that starts from the Olympic Park at Stratford, and goes out into the Surrey Hills following some of the 2012 Olympic road race course, before finishing on the Mall.

The money raised by Charlie and I will be used to directly benefit patients and their families using the Intensive Care Unit at St George’s Hospital. It’s our hope that other families will have better outcomes in Molly’s name.

In this way, Molly’s beautiful smile will continue to live on.
