We campaign and provide support to reduce the devastation of liver disease

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are running the Manchester Half Marathon on 16th October in memory of Myles and to raise some money for the British Liver Trust so they help people in the future.

Myles fought a long battle against Liver Disease since he was 18 years old. He received his first transplant when he was 22 and his second 5 years later. His second transplant was a bit more successful giving him and his wife Alexis 15 years together with time to bring up their 3 children, Robyn, Sam and Alex before he sadly left us on 19th April 2015, aged 43. He has left a massive hole in all our lives and will always be sorely and sadly missed. We are sure he will be looking down on 16th October and will help us all through the tough miles and to reach the finish line.

Please give what you can for this great and often forgotten charity. So much money gets raised for the big charities and it'd be great to do something for the guys at the Liver Trust. Please give what you can and if you're local, feel free to come down on the day to cheer us on...

The British Liver Trust is the only UK charity for all liver conditions. We have recently merged with the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, which is an incredible opportunity for the combined charities to support all children and adults affected by all liver conditions.
