Story

ROYAL MARINES - 356 X ROPE CLIMB CHALLENGE

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving Page! I will be free climbing a rope a total of 356 times in the Main Gymnasium at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines, near Exeter in Devon. My rope climb challenge will be completed during the last week of February 2020 while working in a very busy office training Royal Marine Young Officers. To put this into context, that is equivalent to climbing an average of 50 X ropes a day all either before work, during my lunch breaks or whenever I can fit a few in!

Why 356 I hear you ask?? Well the Royal Marines were first established as the Duke of Albany’s Regiment of Foot on the 28th of October 1664 and the number 356 represents the amount of years that the Royal Marines have existed.

Why the Royal Marines Charity?? Well they exist to help the entire Royal Marines family. Offering a range of services to both serving, veterans and their families. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks!
