Story
My name is Rob Hughes and have watched my mum, Pat battle MS all my life - which for her is over 38 years!. As the MS has slowly taken over her life I have watched her fight for her independence and struggle to keep as much mobility as possible with each attack.
My running the London Marathon will allow me, through the struggle of the training and the 26 mile race to pay some homage to the struggle my mum and other countless people in the UK face every day of their lives.
The MS-UK charity helps people young and old to battle through this little known disease and works to retain as much independence for the sufferers as possible until a cure or some way of controlling the disease is found. I hope to raise as much money as possible to help them continue the fine work they do to make peoples lives with MS as comfortable as possible.
