In memory of Tony Mitchell

Story

Its the first anniversary of my Dads death on 27th June. He bravely battled cancer and put up an incredible fight for the last two years of his life.

The treatment and support he received from the Sandra Chapman Unit and Ward 17 at the James Paget hospital was simply brilliant. I cannot describe how great the care and support Dad received. There is simply no way we could have got through this without them. In addition back in my home town of Sheffield the Weston Park cancer unit also does an amazing job and it is one of the main charities we support.

I had planned to ride from Lowestoft to Lands End last year in his memory and to raise much needed funds. This was postponed due to Covid but is now happening. Myself and a good friend John Palmer who also lost his father last year will embark on the mammoth trek across the country. from the 25th June to 3rd July. Had this been ten years ago I know Tony would have been tempted to join me and probably been completed it days before me ! Training has not been as much as needed but I am sure Dad will get me though it

All funds raised go to two incredible charities so whatever you are able to contribute is massively appreciated and will make a real difference to peoples lives, such as ours. Thank you so much in advance for your generosity.
