Barnsley Hospice provides specialist palliative and end of life care for adults living with a progressive life-limiting illness, and the people close to them. We are here for people from the point of diagnosis and throughout their palliative care journey, including at the end of their life.

Story

Rob passed away peacefully at Barnsley Hospice on the 28th of May. Here he received such care, love and respect, to which we will be eternally grateful for. In light of this, we have chosen Barnsley Hospice as the charity we would love for you all to donate to, rather than flowers as they deserve all the help they can get to keep on providing this amazing service.

Barnsley Hospice is a charity which provides specialist compassionate care to hundreds of local people every year from all over Barnsley. Specialist palliative care provides help and support to people with active and progressive life-limiting illnesses such as Cancer, Heart Disease or Parkinson’s. This care strives to improve quality of life for patients and their families by providing pain and symptom relief, spiritual and social support; and counselling and bereavement services.

Rob may be gone from our lives but he lives on in our hearts, the hearts of family and friends alike. Ourselves and Rob find this charity to be such a needed place that helps out the local community in so many ways we hope that you feel the same too and are able to donate.

Thank you all so much for your donations and love shown towards us all and Robert.

Many thanks, Michelle, Grace, Jack, Brenda, Pete, Bev, Helen, Michael, Margaret and Frank.
