I have been managing the Irish Guards Benevolent Fund now for a period in excess of 10 years. I see on a daily basis how the fund benefits people from right across  our Regimental network of current and former Irish Guardsmen, their families and for other charitable endeavours. From the sprig of shamrock worn by an Irish Guardsman on St Patricks Day to the provision of a holiday break for a veteran and his family who have fallen on hard times, the fund is there to help. Requests are received and met on an almost daily basis and as a long standing member of our fine Regiment it is without question, my charity of choice.
